A MESSAGE FROM HEAVEN- I tried to hold onto this world for everything I have (my kids, sisters, brother, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and love ones) but the weight of my ill-health was unbearable to my flesh and it was causing hurt to my soul. Many trials not to give up the fight for another day was becoming difficult. But God told me it was time to come prepare a place for you all. I hold onto the hopes that we shall meet again. This is a place where there is no pain or suffering. Perhaps you aren’t ready yet to have to say good-bye…. perhaps you’ve thought of things You wish you’d said—well, so have I. For one thing I’d have told you not to worry about me… I’m with the Lord in Heaven now. You knew that’s where I’d be. I’m sorry that you’re feeling sad for I’m so happy now… I have ask the lord to ease the hurt and comfort you somehow. It’s hard at the beginning, but I know you’ll make it through. I hope it helps to know that I’ll be waiting here for you

                                  Odile Bih Fongho
                                                                Eulogy

Odile was born on April 1st, 1964 in Guneku (Mbengwi, Bamenda, North West Province) to late Moses Tebi Fongho (Tere Tebi) and late Christina Ambang Fongho. She was the fourth of eight siblings; Comfort, Clara, Alice, Odile (deceased), Dora (deceased), Edith, Sam and Irene. She was often referred to as “The Francophone One” because she was raised in Ebolowa, Cameroon by Late Mancho Moses (cousin). She pursued French education through secondary school in Lycee Leclerc, Yaounde and high school in Lycee Des Jeunes Filles, Douala. After obtaining her Baccalaureate, she got hired by TEPCAM Petroleum, Douala for her smarts and great mastery of both English and French. She worked at TEPCAM until 1994 when she moved to the United States and settled in Atlanta (Georgia).
Her love for computers drove her to obtain multiple certifications in Information technology. This opened doors to wonderful opportunities with IBM and later Coca Cola where she worked until she became incapacitated by ill-health.
Odile always had good health until early 2012 when she started having headaches. Unfortunately, this headache was misdiagnosed and attributed as stress related consequences. Later in December 2012, she was diagnosed with stage four-lung cancer and anticipated to live for only three months. She chose to have chemotherapy with the hopes of extending her life a little longer. Unfortunately, her body could not fight the aggressive treatment. She gradually lost her strength but still had the ambition of fighting for the next breathes. Though Odile tried to hold on, she was called to rest on Saturday, 15th of June 2013. Odile leaves behind two young children (Daniel- 4 years and David- 2 years), six siblings, nieces and nephews. Her remains will be transported to Cameroon where funeral arrangements are being made for late August 2013.
